Child seats, passengers and luggage planning

Choose a vehicle around your family’s actual seating and baggage needs.

Plan passengers and restraints together

Provide the number of passengers and each child’s age, height and restraint needs. Ask about a suitable approved seat, the vehicle’s installation compatibility and the current requirements. A listed seat count does not tell you whether the needed restraints fit together.

    Confirm accessories before booking

Child seats should be requested and confirmed separately, including any fee, installation responsibility and condition checks. Do not assume they are included with a family or SUV rental. Follow the seat and vehicle manufacturer’s instructions.

      Test the baggage plan

Send suitcase sizes, stroller dimensions and any equipment bags. A vehicle’s approximate bag count may change when all seats are occupied. If a third row is needed, ask what luggage space remains.

        Allow time at handover

Inspect the restraint and its installation with the supplier, check seating access and remove loose items from passenger areas. Arrange assistance or a different vehicle if the confirmed setup does not meet your needs.

          Your planning checklist

          • Passenger count and children’s needs
          • Confirmed restraint and installation arrangements
          • Suitcase and stroller dimensions
          • Vehicle layout with all seats in use

          Frequently asked questions

Is a child seat automatically included?

No. Request the required restraint and confirm availability, suitability, any fee and installation arrangements.

Will a seven-seat car carry seven people and all our luggage?

Not necessarily. Confirm the exact layout and remaining baggage space with all passenger seats in use.
