Inspect before accepting keys

Walk around the vehicle with the representative in suitable light. Photograph bodywork, wheels, glass, interior, odometer and fuel. Record visible marks on the condition report and retain a copy. Confirm the model and specification match the booking before setting off.

    Understand the vehicle

Ask how to operate the parking brake, gear selector, cameras, lights and convertible roof where fitted. Confirm fuel grade, support contact and supplied accessories or keys. Secure luggage without obstructing visibility or controls.

Keep the agreement and required driving documents accessible. If an issue becomes apparent after handover, photograph it and contact the company promptly. Do not wait until return to report something that affects safety or the original condition record.

      Close the booking together

Return at the agreed time and address with the required fuel. Remove belongings from the boot, pockets and connected devices. Record final mileage and condition with the representative, confirm outstanding items and request a return acknowledgement. Discuss deposit release and later toll reconciliation separately.

        Frequently asked questions

Should I take my own photos?
