Insurance, damage & rental protection

Understand the excess, exclusions and incident process before accepting a luxury vehicle.

Insurance and excess are different

An insured rental can still leave an excess payable for a covered claim. Ask for the insurance summary, excess, permitted drivers, use and territorial limits for your car. Insurance excess and security deposit are separate concepts; a no-deposit option does not automatically remove damage liability.

    Read the optional cover

If a waiver or extra protection is offered, ask exactly what it changes. Check tyres, wheels, glass, underbody, lost keys, interior damage and misuse. Obtain the wording and price before accepting cover rather than relying on a short marketing label.

A performance car remains a road rental. Events, filming and additional drivers may need prior approval. Use the car only within the written agreement.

      If an incident happens

Put safety first, follow local authorities’ instructions and contact the rental team promptly. Ask which reports and photos are required, retain the incident reference and avoid unauthorised repairs. Request clear next steps for recovery and any replacement enquiry; liability and availability depend on the agreement.

        Your planning checklist

        • Written excess amount
        • Cover price and exclusions
        • Approved drivers and use
        • Incident contact details

        Frequently asked questions

Does no deposit mean no excess?

No. Confirm deposit terms, insurance cover and claim excess separately.

Can I repair a scratch myself?

Report damage and follow the agreed process. Do not arrange repairs or conceal damage without written instructions.
