Start with your driving status
Tell the concierge whether you are a tourist or UAE resident, which country issued your licence, its expiry date and how long you have held it. Eligibility depends on the vehicle, insurer and licence recognition. An enquiry is not approval to drive; have your documents reviewed before paying for a particular model.
Documents to prepare
Residents should prepare their valid UAE driving licence and Emirates ID. Visitors should prepare their passport, entry or visa details where applicable, and home-country driving licence. Ask whether an International Driving Permit is required for your exact documents. Keep originals available for the agreed handover check.
Do not treat another website’s accepted-country list as approval for your booking. Send your issuing country and residency status early, especially if you have recently become a resident. Any second driver should be checked and recorded in the rental agreement before driving.
Age, experience and privacy
Ask for the selected model’s driver age, licence experience requirements and additional-driver conditions. High-value vehicles may have stricter insurer requirements. Share documents through the company’s confirmed contact channel and ask how they will be used. Do not leave eligibility checks until delivery.
Your planning checklist
